Region of Origin
They are primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America (French Guiana, Brazil, etc.).

Breeding Requirements

  • A spacious, vertical glass terrarium, measuring at least 45 × 45 × 60 cm, suitable for one or two adult pairs, to allow proper molting and avoid overcrowding.
  • An ideal temperature range of 22 to 28 °C, with about 70% humidity. Regular misting is essential.
  • Provide an egg-laying container with at least 25 cm of substrate (peat or coco humus) for oviposition.
  • Offer branches and fresh foliage, replenishing them regularly.
  • Incubation lasts about two years, and full growth generally takes an additional 5 to 7 months. With proper care, an adult can live for over a year.
