Brief Description
Peruphasma schultei is a stick insect native to Peru, with a deep black body contrasted by small, bright red wings that are usually hidden at rest. When threatened, it can reveal these colorful wings as a form of intimidation. Its simple appearance, discreet behavior, and relatively easy care make it a popular species in captivity, suitable for beginners.

Packaging
Group of four juveniles or six small nymphs depending on availability.

Origin
This species was named after Rainer Schulte, who discovered it in 2002 in a very small area of about five hectares, at an altitude of 1200 to 1800 meters.

  • Ideal temperature between 20 and 26 °C, with moderate humidity (50–70%).
  • Light and regular misting, without excessive moisture.
  • Provide fresh privet branches as food, replacing them regularly.
